Do you have a network in your house? And is you Xbox ccennoted to this network? To stream music you will need to have your xbox 360 and the computer that has your music files all on the same network. I would recommend that you upgrade to MS Media player 11, this already contains the media connect software and can be configured to show you all the music files that Media player has in its library. Turn on your xbox and select file sharing in Media player. This is where you grant permission for your xbox to have access to the media files on your PC. The media player software doesn’t have to be running for streaming to work, but you will have to use it to do the initial configuration, and you have to run it every time you add music, pictures, video to your pc. This allows Media player to load the new file details into its internal library.
